Bare Dyr, a spooky experience for October
It's spooky season! Mark the occasion by seeing one of the coolest interactive horror productions showing in Trondheim.
On October 2, Bare Dyr, produced by Bizarra Produksjoner, premieres in Verkstedhallen in Svartlamon. See below for dates and prices!
Inspired by the symbolism and real occurrence behind Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, Bare Dyr is a story that poses questions about the human/nature dichotomy, what it is, how it operates, whether it even exists. The production explores the symbolism posed by the movie: What is the symbol that those birds represent for us today, and why do they attack? In the director Alessandra Felli's own words, "Through the production, we want to show the generation of the relationship between humankind and nature, which has been developing in the last years. We try not to judge either side: humans or nature." The production team also kept a small cast of characters, to illustrate these questions in an intimate space that can quickly become familiar to the audience.

The production began with discussions between the show's producer, Mari Moe Krysinska, the choreographer, Liv Strugstad, and the composer, Martin Mulholland. One of the most exciting parts of the show is the music. Taking their cue from the horror genre, the production team decided Mulholland and Elvesveen would compose music using only sounds from animals. There are many animals in the show, but they are never visually represented. This is something to keep in mind as you experience the show.
There is an interactive element as well, but that is for you to experience.
The premiere has sold out. Don't miss this experience!
