Every single English-language event at Trondheim Pride 2022

Trondheim Pride 2022 has officially begun and boy are we excited! The 25th-anniversary edition is jam-packed with amazing events spread across 11 incredible days. For those of us who don't speak fluent Norwegian, it might be difficult to know which events we can properly take part in.


To fix that, The List team has scoured the program and made this detailed list of all English and language-independent events happening at Trondheim Pride this year. Enjoy!


September 1st, Thu.


Queer art exhibition opening

Local queer artists Eirunn Oppheim, Hanna Østby, Vikobelo, Håkon Karlsen, Ulf Stubbe Teglbjærg, Maria Fjellstad and more will exhibit their works at Stammen Café. The exhibition will remain open beyond Pride but don't miss this fun opening to pre-start Pride.

September 2nd, Fri.


Official opening of Pride!

Join the official opening of Trondheim Pride 2022! There will be speeches, food, sparkling drinks and a party, not to mention great music performed by Kor Hen, Skeive Stemmer, BIRK, tuvahalse band, and more.

Queer Punk Night

In collaboration with Skeivt Opprør and UFFA, Pride invites you to a queer punk night, where punk bands TwoMinutesHate and Rosa Faenskapplay will play angry riffs that accompany even angrier lyrics.

Clothing swap and sewing workshop with YHASYME

Alongside the clothing swap at SIT's Loftet, the YHASYME twins will run a drop-in DIY repair and redesign workshop. This will be the perfect opportunity to give your garments a longer life!

3-course Pride dinner

Stammen café offers a three-course vegan dinner with a pride theme. The price is NOK 300 per person.

Voguing and ball culture: An open conversation

Emma and Karim from Kiki House of Meraki will have an open conversation about experiences and ideas around voguing and ball culture. Anyone interested in hearing about and learning about ball culture in Norway should come!

Pride ball

Join a hedonistic-inspired evening where everyone will dress and dance exactly like they want to, completely free from judgement. DJ duo SYNK will spin records and various pop-up art happenings will take place throughout the night.

Non-binary hangout

Casual hangout for non-binary people where you can meet like-minded people, to make new connections, and get to know yourself — as you can also come if you don’t quite know yet if you are non-binary.

Queer film: The Naked Civil Servant (1975)

The Cinemateket in Trondheim will screen a number of films with queer themes for Trondheim Pride. The Naked Civil Servant tells the story of Quentin Crisp, an outrageous and flamboyant homosexual who grows up in conservative England.

Queer film: My Beautiful Laundrette (1985)

The Cinemateket in Trondheim will screen a number of films with queer themes for Trondheim Pride. My Beautiful Laundrette is a social comedy about the social consequences of a Pakistani and an Englishman going into business and becoming lovers.

Queer student hangout

Queer students and Trondheim Pride invite you to a hangout for queer students at Café Sito at NTNU's Dragvoll campus (building 6). Great place to chat and get to know fellow queer students.

Course on Vouge Femme

Karim from Kiki House of Meraki will give a short course in Vouge Femme dancing.

Board game night

Together with Work-Work and Hexagon Spillklubb, Trondheim Pride organizes an evening to meet like-minded people, play games and take a little gaming break in the middle of the week. The game night takes place on the 2nd floor of Work-Work.

Dance workshop with ImproDans Trondheim

This two-hour workshop will aim to fill Rosendal Teater with music and dance and explore the space through improvisation. The ImproJam is led in English by dance artist Anna Thu Schmidt in collaboration with musician Andrea Blåsmo.

PolyNorge leads a chat on norm-breaking lifestyles

This event will allow people to chat about poly and other norm-breaking lifestyles, what they are about and what we envision for ourselves in the future. This event is for anyone who is either poly, non-monogamous, and/or interested in these topics. PolyNorge comes to Trondheim to create an open and friendly atmosphere for everyone!

Pan and bi hangout

Casual hangout for pan and bi people to get to know each other. Also feel free to come if you’re in the closet or don’t quite know yet if you’re bisexual or pansexual. There will be a short introduction of the topic at the beginning of the hangout.

How to be an ally: Queer solidarity across borders

What do queer activists across borders have in common, and how can international solidarity build a stronger and more united queer movement? This workshop will explore these questions and will be led by the Polish LGBTIQ+ activist Magda Dropek, together with investigator Sarian Jarosz and adviser Agnieszka Dąbrowiecka from Amnesty International Poland. They have all recently contributed to a report on the conditions for queer activism in Poland.

Later that same day, Magda, Sarian, and Agnieszka will take part in the panel discussion Life as a queer activist in Poland: threats, harassment, and violence.

Queer speed friending

Do you want to get to know more people and make new friends in Trondheim? Trondheim Pride and Lokal Scene invite you to queer speed friending to get to know other people, regardless of gender and sexuality.

Queer Tunes - Chicago House & Disco night

Disco and queer culture have been intertwined for decades. Queer Tunes wants to create a space for queer people, play good music, and feel the music in harmony with other queer people.

Queer expressions in video games

Laura Dale and Sonja Fay Nyvoll will give a lecture about queer expressions in video games. Queer Norwegian gamers like RainbowGlitter will also share their experiences of being queer in a gaming environment.

Queer student hangout

Queer students and Trondheim Pride invite you to a hangout for queer students at Café Sito at NTNU's Gløshaugen campus. Great place to chat and get to know fellow queer students.

Panel on trans joy

When we talk about transness, we often hear about gloomy topics. But being trans has its own beauty and benefits. The panel will feature British writer Laura Dale, NTNU researcher Sonja Fay Nyvoll, and Strisha who is on the board of Trondheim Pride.

The Trondheim Pride Parade!

The highlight of the Pride festival is definitely the incredibly colourful parade. It'll set off from Trondheim Katedralskole/Ytre Kongsgård and make it's way through the city.

Pride-Fest concert: Keiino, Nagicalmmiis, and snÆrk

This year is the 25th anniversary of the first Pride in Trondheim, and this should be celebrated properly! Three bands will begin the festivities — Keiino, Nagicalmmiis, and snÆrk — followed by thumping DJ beats and chill side events.

September 11th, Sun.


Concert: Adrian Anglico

Adrian Angelico, the internationally recognised queer opera singer, will close off Trondheim Pride with an amazing final event. The mezzo-soprano from Tromsø has left his mark on the northern opera stage with his inventive interpretations of classical opera roles.
